OUR MISSION:

To build the most people-focused restaurant company we can imagine.

To us, this means cultivating a nurturing “team first” culture within our company, supporting and engaging with our local communities, and providing our guests with a remarkable experience.

We opened the original Cheese Louise food truck in 2018 to create a fun summer job for ourselves. Since then, our fun summer job has grown to a small collection of fast-casual restaurants and a fleet of food trucks that roam New England.

How do we achieve

our mission?

Team First Culture

We believe in taking care of our Team Members with pay above a living wage and a slice of the profits. Our entire team benefits when our company succeeds. We also offer growth opportunities, as well as exceptional benefits, such as 401k matching, 3-month paid parental leave, and insurance options.

Local Communities

Each year, we donate $3 from every monthly special sold to a local organization that empowers youth in our community. We partner with one organization annually through our program, Cheesin’ for a Reason, while also supporting smaller groups through donations and Dine to Donates. Our shop is also a gathering place for community events and meetings.

Guest Experience

We love going the extra mile for our guests—walking them through the ordering process, keeping things fun with in-store games, and truly listening to their opinions. Our guests even get to help choose our monthly special! From in-person menu taste testing, to social media conversations, we’re always finding ways to hear your feedback.

RESTAURANT LEADERSHIP TEAM

Our collective goal is to support our current operations while continuing to open new restaurants.

BRYCE H.

CO-OWNER, PRINCIPAL PRESIDENT PERSON: HUMAN DEVELOPMENT LEAD

Bryce has been immersed in the restaurant world his whole life, starting with working alongside his dad, who managed restaurants for the Flatbread Company. After working in restaurants throughout college, Bryce saw Cheese Louise as an opportunity to help reshape what it means to work in an industry that hasn’t always had the best reputation for taking care of its people.

As President, he focuses on supporting teams, strengthening company culture, and growing the business with intention—believing great food starts with taking care of great people. Outside of work, Bryce enjoys skiing and hiking in the White Mountains with his fiancée, Anna, and co-founded White Mountain Sauna Haus, a community sauna, with his partner Levi.

JAMES G.

CO-OWNER, FANCY FACILITIES FIXOR: FACILITIES DESIGN AND MAINTENANCE

James has led the building and fixing of restaurants and trucks since the days when Cheese Louise was just a notebook sketch! His work nowadays still presents plenty of creative challenges on how to tweak our shops to support our team and guests - while keeping an eye out for potential new spaces to expand our Cheesy dreams. His personal time also looks like lots of creative and handy work for friends, with a special love for working with wood and living in the woods!

IAN L.

CO-OWNER, BEEP BOOP BOSS: INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY LEAD

Ian has always loved math and science, a passion rooted in the pursuit of clarity. In college this pursuit led to wrestling with life’s big questions through philosophy. When Cheese Louise started, it was about spending time with friends; but as it evolved into a full time job, it became about those bigger questions. Today it’s his answer to how to treat one-another well. To support that project, he uses his numerical knowledge and computer competency to answer questions about our operations.
Outside of work, Ian has a persistent mindfulness practice, loves spending time with nature, and proudly parents a handful of hens. In addition, he is deeply grateful for his MWV community.

JASMINE S.

CO-OWNER, OFFICIAL OPERATIONS OVERLORD: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Jasmine was a day one Cheese Louise fangirl before deciding that it wasn't enough to cheer on the boys from the sidelines. She started out helping wherever was needed and transitioned into restaurant management as the company expanded. Jasmine believes that the real world is the best classroom, and she has learned everything she knows about operations management and leadership development through her experience at Cheese Louise. These days Jasmine works to implement standardized operating procedures and train upper management to support company growth. Outside of work she enjoys climbing, hiking, and skiing with friends in the mountains that she feels lucky to call her backyard.

ELLA C.

CO-OWNER, MARVELOUS MARKETING MASTERMIND: DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

As a 16-year-old in desperate need of gas money, Ella was stoked to land her first job ever as a Team Member at Cheese Louise. She was eager to take initiative and eventually asked Bryce to manage the Instagram, which led to photography, videography, digital advertising, etc. Without proper training, being a jack-of-all-trades was challenging until Ella decided to major in Marketing and got many of her questions answered in business school in Boston. She feels incredibly lucky to apply her learnings every day in this challenging, rewarding position. Outside of work, Ella teaches hot yoga sculpt at Hot Asana, and loves the outdoors.
